How to make Micro Butterfly Fly Slower
The Micro Butterfly can be adjusted in just a few seconds to adjust it's cruising speed.
If you want to fly slower try this:
1. Bend in some 'up elevator' on the horizontal stabilizer trailing edge. Try 1 or 2 mm and then do a test flight and notice the difference in cruising speed that results from the increased angle of attack that the wing has with this small change in the tail. Do some small changes and test fly again and again until you get the desired result.
2. Take off some of the downthrust at the motor. If you look at the motor, you'll probably see that the motor and prop are angled down a few degrees. To remove some of this 'downthrust' just grab the motor with thumb and finger of one hand, and brace the motor mount with the other hand and bend the thrustline up a degree or so. Do small changes, and then test fly and notice the difference.
