MicroScout Assembly - Landing Gear, Tail, Wing - episode 03

Watch this video to learn how to assemble your rc plane’s landing gear, how to attach the horizontal rear stabilizer, and how to attach wings to the fuselage. Note the alignment of the wing and tail parts.

The landing gear goes together quite easily. Take the small plywood lasercut parts and stack them up and make a sandwich with the metal landing gear in the middle. Apply CA liberally here. The holes should align nicely. Now we take the fuselage stick and put it through the hole. If it’s a little too tight, don’t worry – what you can do is sand the carbon rod or take a reamer to ream the hole on the plywood landing gear parts. Once it fits nicely make sure it lines up and apply some foamsafe CA. The horizontal stabilizer and elevator can be dry-fitted to the rear of the plane. Check to see that it’s square and then apply CA glue. After the glue is dry get the wings out and dry fit them to the fuselage. Once you have good alignment apply CA and accelerator.
