Enjoy Flying this Innovative RC Aircraft

|
Your own Recon Drone eh? Well, it's true that this model is inspired by some of the wild UAV (Unmanned Air Vehicle) aerial spy planes. There is a lot that can be learned from this flying wing design - just what, we're not sure of yet! If you can handle the futuristic unorthadox look, you'll love the MicroMAV
The Box is so small (4.75 X 4.75 X 2.5), you can take this model with you anywhere without any hassle. A great Design from the drawing board of Henry Pasquet. Check out these videosComplete Set $149.99

This cool little flying wonder can fit in your jacket pocket and can be 'deployed' in seconds. It's the Plantraco MicroMAV. It's a portable r/c plane. It also is a great flying model, very stable flying characteristics with a shockingly good glide ratio. it is very durable due to the flexible airframe, and the strong 3-dimensional structure that locks in the good aerodynamic shape of the airframe. It's just wild to see something so small (4.5 inch wingspan!) zipping around the garden or overhead in a gym. A Great Flyer. |
Another Model using the same components as the Original Plantraco Butterfly and Carbon Butterfly! Thanks to Henry Pasquet and Robert Guillot for helping make this dream become real! |

GB05 4mm Gearbox with 3222 Carbon Fiber Prop
Carbon Fiber Propeller, Swiss engineered gearbox, and tiny 4mm coreless motor. It's definitely not heavy equipment. The GB05 gearbox gives the microMAV a good thrust:weight ratio, and keeps the wingloading down for the best flying performance we can achieve

Lightest R/C Receiver
The world's lightest R/C receiver is one of the reasons these models fly so well. Fully proportional, but without adding dead weight to the airframe. 0.38 grams! (That's 0.013 oz ! ) As lightweight as it is, it still comes packed with good features, like Plantraco's Bahoma magnetic battery holder system, Low Volt Protection, and more.
|
Innovative Actuator for control surfaces
The HingeAct magnetic actuator weighs only 0.22 grams, but is powerful enough to give good turning authority to the MicroMAV. Notice that the theme of 'weight reduction' continues in all our Micro R/C components. The simple lightweight design is the key to it's success. It is a self centering actuator, and gives you an amazing 64 steps of full proportional resolution per side.

When it comes to the cosmetic appearance of the MicroMAV, you either like this one or you hate it! People say funny things to you when you bring this one out. Some guys ask if you can make a pizza fly, and others call it a flying teacup.
To me the cosmetics take a second seat to flying performance, and this design provides a large wing area relative to the overall dimensions, stable aerodynamic characteristics, strong, durable airframe, protection of the control surfaces, and ease of assembly!
That's a lot of good things to say about this design!
It's a cool model to bring out after church on the grass, it can handle a little bit of wind, although you are best off flying it indoors. They are a bit fast for livingroom flight unless your livingroom is huge. They would fly well in a classroom or half a tennis court - sortof the same flying area as the classroom fighters, but a tad faster.
Having said that, you can also give it a lot of up elevator and you just about have a high alpha maneuver machine where the model almost hangs from the prop as you fly ultra slow - but this maneuver is for advanced pilots. If you are a beginner, you'll mostly want to be cruising around, intercepting others, or loitering high above, simulating a recon mission.
So, these are sortof like Classroom Fighters for durability and general performance, the MicroMAV is smaller and has slightly different handling characteristics.
They come packaged in a very small box, which is very practical for storage and transport.
Again, with this RTF from Plantraco , you get that instant gratification that is impossible to resist once you have seen one fly. Check the videos! |
